The NBA Playoffs began on Sunday, and it has been a rollercoaster of a week for the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers have lost five of their past six, including a 112-110 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.
The team also lost the first two games of the series.
The Lakers are in first place in the Pacific Division and have the best record in the NBA at 7-1.
Their two losses came to the Warriors, who were a franchise-record 23-1 and have won 10 straight games against the Lakers.
On Sunday, the Lakers will host the Houston Rockets, who are in third place in their division and have lost four of their last six games.
Houston’s winning streak has been broken twice in the last two games and their streak of four straight losses is tied with the Warriors for the most in the league.
Lakers coach Luke Walton has been criticized for his team’s inability to get stops.
“It’s not easy, but it’s not bad,” Walton said.
“It’s just a matter of getting guys to do their job.”
Laker fans are starting to wonder if they have the players to win a series.
It appears the Lakers are a bit more patient with their defense than their offense.
In the first five games of this series, the team is allowing the most points per 100 possessions (95.4) in the conference.
This weekend, the Losers will look to bounce back after a lackluster start to the season.
As long as the Lakers can stop the Golden State Warriors from getting a lead in the fourth quarter, the series is in play.
